Mia earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University in 2007. Since that time she has worked at an outpatient orthopedic clinic for 13 years. She enjoys using her advanced manual skills complimenting it with therapeutic exercise in order to help her patients get better. Mia treats all orthopedic injuries but loves treating the back and the neck. Mia enjoys spending time with her family and watching her boys play sports. For fun, Mia enjoys playing platform (paddle) tennis, working out, being outside, running, and spending time with friends. As a physical therapist, Mia wants to spend one on one time with her patients and wants to empower them through education and movement in order to help them return to function safely. Michelle graduated from Northwestern University in 2006 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Over her career, she has worked in the outpatient orthopedic and home health settings seeing a variety of diagnoses and patient populations. She really enjoys treating low back, hip and knee pain. In the last 8 years, she has spent a lot of time working with older adults in a local assisted living community helping them improve their strength, flexibility, and balance so they can function safely in their home and community and continue to do what they love. Michelle feels the patient-therapist relationship is essential to good outcomes and believes working with patients one-on-one helps to elevate the level of care she can provide. In her free time, Michelle and her husband are shuffling their kids to activities and cheering them on in their sports on the weekends. She enjoys staying active with walks with friends, yoga, and her new found love of racquet sports.
